The Opportunity

At ConneXu, we believe our Disabled Partners should have choice, control, and opportunities to live the lives they want. As an Occupational Therapist, you'll work alongside Disabled Partners, whānau, support networks and ConneXu Team Members to identify goals, build capability, and create practical solutions that enhance independence and wellbeing.

This is not a role for someone looking for a highly structured clinical environment. Every day is different. You'll have the autonomy to think creatively, build meaningful relationships, and tailor your approach to each person's unique circumstances.

You'll be joining a passionate, purpose-driven team that is committed to delivering outcomes that matter, while helping shape a more inclusive future for Disabled Partners at ConneXu.

Job Description

At ConneXu, we do things differently. As an Occupational Therapist, you'll work in partnership with Disabled Partners, whānau, and Team Members delivering innovative, person-directed support that empowers people to achieve what matters most to them

The candidate we are seeking will be able to:

  • Partner with Disabled Partners and their whānau to understand goals, aspirations and support needs.
  • Complete assessments and develop practical, strengths-based recommendations.
  • Support people to build independence, participation and confidence in everyday activities.
  • Recommend equipment, environmental modifications and strategies that enable better outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with support teams, families, funders and community providers.
  • Ensure services align with Enabling Good Lives principles and person-directed practice.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation, reporting and professional standards.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and person-centered support
  • Oversee the manual handling framework at ConneXu in consultation with our Learning and Development Manager
